PHEW okay, here we go: I was secret Santa for ceruleancontessa!

She gave me all sorts of things she liked, like Chelley, Rick, GLaDOS, turrets… so I decided to incorporate a whole bunch of them in one thing and this is what I came up with!
Wheatley and Rick decide to try and win Chell’s affections with a choir of turrets.

I did that Meet the Wheatley meme. Answers under the cut! These apply to the version of my Wheats that I draw the most, though I have another version where the events are basically identical to the game, but all the personalities are androids instead of spheres. but that one’s not so interesting! Name Wheatley Nickname none! BRIEF Backstory my Wheats is basically what happens if you take game Wheatley from the moment he got crushed by GlaDOS when she awakened, and stick him in an android body with all his memories up to that point. More accurately, his personality got copied into an android body because of a backup system, and due to a bug, core Wheats survived too - he’d later (after the game events) become mywheats’ companion, mel’s wheats. The two decide to try to escape the facility together. And that’s pretty much it! Creation Notes hahaha honestly I was really lazy about it. I read Blue Sky before drawing anything and then all I had in my head for human wheats was Blue Sky wheats. The first design I drew was what I imagined Blue Sky wheats to look like while I was reading, and then when I tried to draw my own I sorta stuck with the same look but just changed the clothes. Pfff. I mean, he’s evolved a bit since then, with the amount I draw him (haaaa) and I try to exaggerate the bits that are different from other Wheats to make him a bit more noticeable, but… yeah I was pretty lazy! I’ve grown really attached to him tho and I wouldn’t change him. C: What is your favorite thing about your Wheatley? I don’t really know! I guess it’s his underlying robotic structure. I just love drawing robot-y things and couldn’t resist! 8D What are some things you want people to know about your Wheatley? I guess his bug is kinda important? He basically can’t “hack” stuff because of a bug with his android body’s systems. When he plugs into things, he can’t control the flow of data, and it gets crossed with his vocal processor, aaand this basically makes him blabber random phrases/words/numbers until he’s disconnected. He thinks he makes perfect sense though!
